It is with a tinge of nostalgia that I recall the trip I took to France just a couple of weeks ago. Lucky enough to have family there, I got a chance to explore everything from the beautiful Parisian bistro culture to more traditional French dining.
But what stood out to me were the French shopping streets. It was a shopping experience like no other! Simply put, they blew my mind. I decided to travel a little more to understand the deep-rooted history and charm that Paris has to offer.
But as you already know that I am an extremely enthusiastic traveler, I made sure to share this with all my friends and fans. So let’s begin, shall we?

ToggleBest Sightseeing Destinations in Paris
What a lovely time I had in Paris! There truly is no shortage of places to explore. If you’re a first-time visitor, you ought to stop by landmarks such as the Eiffel Tower or the Louvre; the latter of which is filled with history and paintings that will keep you spellbound.
There are some places, though, that I felt offered a more authentic Parisian experience and those were the hidden gems! Most of these places are away from the main attractions and are perfect if you want to know what Parisians might do on their day off.
Then there are Parisian hotels, each unique in its own way, from the most luxurious to more budget-friendly options. You get to experience the best of both worlds. But letting the shopping spree continue, French cuisine is simply breathtaking.

Of all the cities I’ve been to, one of the places that were majestic was the Hôtel Ritz Paris. It’s located a stone’s throw away from Place Vendôme and is a jewel of Paris.
The cuisine was first-rate, the design of the rooms was unimaginable luxurious classic French, and the optional afternoon tea? Why yes please! It is definitely to say on the higher range but if you are ready to spend some money, this is worth it.

Parisians do it with a Slice: Dining Out in Paris
What can be more tempting than French food? If my friends and I ever thought of going out for dinner at one of the places in Paris, it would certainly not be our first choice. But now let’s skip forward as I am going to share the places in Paris that are absolutely worth visiting.
Fine Dining in Paris
I locked in on one of the places that I definitely would recommend to any romantic out there — Le Jules Verne, which is on top of the Eiffel Tower. It’s more than just the views. How can one not be amazed by the tasting menu? Classic French cuisine re-imagined into something quite spectacular. Just wait till you take a bite of the lobster ravioli. I dare you not to be blown away!
Local Favorites: Where Parisians Dine
For a more laid-back experience, Bistrot Paul Bert is the place to be. It’s a classic Parisian bistro with chunky plates of steak frites and a crème brûlée that really is the cherry on the cake. And the best part? It is loved by the residents and hence, you get the real flavor of Paris.
Shopping in Paris: Where Fashion Dreams Come True
What is the point of going to Paris if you cannot do any shopping there? From amazing shopping centers to gorgeous tiny shops, Paris has it all. And here is where I managed to buy the best clothes, attractive souvenirs and so on.
High-End Shopping Malls Inner Paris
For the reason that there were no shopping trips, I definitely could not give up the chance to go to Galeries Lafayette. I am not only a shopper but also an admirer of the glass dome.
We may encounter serious bidders, such as Chanel and Louis Vuitton. And let’s not forget the amazing panoramic vistas over Paris from the rooftop with even the unsurpassed view of Paris.
Yet Another Affordable Boutique
Those on the lookout for Paris artifacts with low prices while without high design prices, the Le Marais district is a paradise. Here you will find a long list of boutiques, second hands, and clothes designed by local specialists.
One of my best stores was simply called Merci. The specialty of the shop was women’s wear, books and household items.
Markets in Paris: When History is Full of Life
The French capital is also famous for its markets, where you can try seasonal fruits and fresh vegetables, specialty cheese and other crafts, and immerse yourself into the atmosphere of the country even more. There are plenty of them, and I was happy to visit all of them because they are different.
Let’s Take a Tour of the Authentic Parisian Market, Marché d’Aligre
Last Saturday, I headed to Marché d’Aligre, which can be found in the 12th Arrondissement, with the anticipation of a sunny Saturday.
It is active as people walk around the stalls that overflow with yellow lemons, potted flowers, and above all, French cheeses. I spotted a stall that had over 20 sorts of French cheese, including smooth Camembert and sharp Roquefort. Delicious!
Market Aficionado? Visit Marché aux Puces de Saint-Ouen
Alternatively, you can go to Marché aux Puces de Saint-Ouen, which is reputed to be the largest flea market in the world.
I found a bunch of old posters from Paris, old Japanese katana swords, and even an antique record player! It is a nice site to stroll around for several hours and for anyone wishing to capture their memories of Paris.
The Memories of Paris Are Irreplaceable
Thinking of my stay in Paris, I can understand why it still is the city of dreams for so many people. The combination of the best of what used to be and what is modern, the great variety of great dishes, and friendly interactions with the Parisian people — all these things make Paris unforgettable.
If you are looking forward to pampering yourself in the luxurious Hôtel Ritz or would rather have coffee in a modest café, Paris welcomes you all the same.
