My Overviews

1. Promenade De La Croisette

top 5 places of Cannes

Overview:

Out of the many Cinesean locations that one may love to visit, La Croisette which is popularly known to be the demolished area of former anti is a definite must. La Croisette entails such luxurious water bodies along the golden sands which one may only see in their dreams.

My Experience:

Simply taking a walk from one alley to another was a picturesque view. The water that surrounded La Croisette,6851, was almost a crystalline blue, almost as beautiful as the Middle Eastern sky during daytime. Inhabitants of Cannes were present in great shape even on non festive days, people were cheerful which definitely contributed to the joy one could experience as in almost every nook and cranny one came across has the ever so gorgeous backdrop picture which was the Cannes Film Festival red carpet.

Recommendations:

  • Places to Eat at and Trying Food: Le Majestic is known to be the best restaurant to eat at as you get to enjoy the serene view of the sea.
  1. Budget Hint: On envisioning a warm summer day, Try one of the gelato kiosks while sitting outside in a crowded area.

2. Le Suquet (Old Town)

top 5 places of Cannes

Overview:

Tucked a stone throw away from the bustling Promenade, Le Suquet is the beautiful old section of Cannes. It has its ancient narrow cobblestone paths, buildings filled with colors and a beautiful skyline of the bay as if one has traveled back in time.

My Experience:

On my way up to the Église Notre-Dame d’Espérance, some nostalgia enveloped me. Almost every one of these streets has an art gallery or some local joint and I found myself strolling around the area wondering what is there to be discovered. The people are nice and most of the time, I would walk around with a big smile and yeah it was beautiful.

Recommendations:

  • Must-See: Remember to include the Castre Museum in your schedule as it depicts the ancient history of the city.
  • Dining: Also make a stop at Le Bistrot Gourmand to enjoy some good French food without breaking the bank.

3. Palais des Festivals et des Congrès

top 5 places of Cannes

Overview:

The festival took place at the Palais. A true architectural marvel is worth seeing even if not in town for the film.

My Experience:

I am standing at the steps of the place where so many celebrities have walked over and my memory is partially replaced by jubilation, after I stepped foot on the floor of the champagne room. It was enough to get a glimpse of a guided tour, but I felt as if I had to dig deeper into the evolution of the event, along with some notable people who sipped red carpet.

Recommendations:

  • Expense Mgmt: A little side of the resort is the atmosphere there which is great for picture clicking all without emptying your pockets.
  • Event Tip: You can try to see if there are some public events or exhibitions to coincide with your visit.

4. Îles de Lérins

top 5 places of Cannes

Overview:

The Îles de Lérins are a deserted kind of the islam, located about 15 minutes away through boat rides from cannes. warm climate indeed makes these islands historically and naturally beautiful islands a no brainer to easily decide as a day trip.

My Experience:

I had the same feeling when I first saw this place while boarding the ferry the very first time I came to this place through flying whales. The serenity I greathold back is opened by a funny story from a local about the place along with the stunning views in the calm atmosphere wherever I set foot on the island.

Recommendations:

  • Dining : Or take a local seafood when you can have an amazing outdoor picnic by this island or pack your lunch when setting off for a trip.
  • Budget Tip: You are unlikely to be surprised by the average price for the ferry ride.

5. Marché Forville

top 5 places of Cannes

Overview:

You are unlikely to feel bored if you love food which is local, and the reason being the hype created around the false markets of local restaurants to not miss out on the cuisines of France, as it is a happening space.

My Experience:

The picture that reflects a market is entirely captured in Forville, everything from colourful vegetables to the vibrant atmosphere filled with people and relentless activities. Everyone was nice enough to offer samples of what they were producing. And because it was for a picnic afterwards, I bought a baguette and some strawberries. The sense of community here was palpable, and it felt like a true slice of local life.

Recommendations:

  • Shopping: You cannot go without having a chickpea pancake which is called socca.
  • Budget Tip: You might want to time your visit when most of the items are in stock and not picked over, perhaps in the morning.
